Lot 111 - John Lennon Handwritten Note
A handwritten note of Beatle John Lennon (1940-1980).
On a 7" x 8.5" sheet of gingham-patterned stationery. Signed in the text 'Mr. Lennon'. Staple holes to the upper left corner, not affecting the text. Contains various notes.
The note reads in full: "Barns & Noble Bookstore, phone & ask when M Lennon can collect his photograph (paid for - but kept it for their exhibition). (Woman in black bag) (I forgot title)". This is followed by a notation in another hand, probably that of an assistant: "How long ago? Where purchased? Where did you leave it? What exhibit?" Lennon then adds several grocery items and another task: "Instant coffee, fresh mushrooms, health food bread. Air conditioning - Put in. (Ask Yoko - I mean ASK her)".
A unique item of Beatles and Lennon memorabilia in fine condition.
