A black leather suitcase with two brass clips and a gray, white, burgundy and black tartan wool lined interior that was owned by John Lennon (1940-1980). The suitcase was originally sold by John's wife, Cynthia Lennon (1939- ), at a Christies auction in 1996.
A label inside reads “Coach Hide, A Pendragon Product – 19¼ x 30½ in. (48.9 x 77.4cm)”.
The suitcase is accompanied by an Antler vanity case with a lilac moiré lined interior that was owned by Cynthia Lennon. The vanity case measures 13” x 12”.
Ex Collection of Cynthia Lennon. Cynthia was the first wife of John Lennon and is the mother of Julian Lennon.
