A 5" x 8" original sketch of Captain Pugwash by John Ryan (1921-2009).
The sketch has been titled "Captain Pugwash" in Ryan's hand. Ryan has autographed the piece and dated it "November 2nd '08", just 8 months before he died.
John Ryan is best known for being the creator of Captain Pugwash who first appeared in a comic strip in Eagle in 1950.
In fine condition.
