Lot 94 - Mick Jagger/Eric Clapton Used Guitar
A wooden body resonator guitar used by Mick Jagger and Eric Clapton
Mick Jagger (1943- ) hired the guitar to use on 12 August 2004 at Abbey Road Studios, London. Eric Clapton (1945- ) hired it to use on 29 March 2005 for his 60th birthday party at the Banqueting Rooms, Whitehall in London.
The delivery address on the Jagger invoice is Abbey Road Studios while the invoice address is Music Bank Hire. The artist’s name is listed as Mick Jager (sic). It was ordered on 12 August and kept for 5 days.
The delivery document for Clapton’s hire of the guitar is addressed to his producer, Alan Douglas, and the invoice was sent to Olympic Studios. The artist’s name is listed as “Eric Clapton RE Eric’s Party”. The guitar was hand delivered to the Banqueting Rooms, Whitehall by the delivery company at 10:30pm on the night of the party and was picked up the next day.
In good condition.
Accompanied by invoices and a letter of authenticity from the hire company.
