A 1966 Hofner left-handed violin bass guitar used by Paul McCartney in 2002

The guitar was hired from a video production company for use by Paul McCartney (1942-) for one day on February 21 2002. It was used at a sound stage in London for either a rehearsal or a photo or video shoot prior to his 2002 Drivin’ USA tour which kicked off after McCartney played at the pre game ceremony for Super Bowl XXXVI.

Accompanied by copies of the original invoice detailing the names of the production company, the sound stage, and the artist – Paul McCartney. Also comes with a letter of authenticity from the hire company and another letter detailing how the guitar had previously been hired by McCartney for use at a Birmingham NEC concert circa 1997/98. Also included is a copy of the hire document of another instrument from the same company addressed to Sir Paul McCartney, ordered by his assistant John Hammel with MPL Music Publishing as the invoice address.
